Shipping & receiving//Neptune Mountaineering 


Neptune Mountaineering is an outdoor specialty retail store dedicated to welcoming all. We are locally owned, managed, and staffed by people inspired by the outdoors.


  • Responsible for receiving incoming shipments and preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Preparing new products for display on the sales floor. Stickering and security tagging of relevant products 
  • Organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations.
  • Responsible for assisting the greater buying team with the upload and management of purchase orders to the Point-of-Sale system.   
  • Assisting with Neptune Mountaineering E-commerce operations 
  • Contacting suppliers and resolving any shipping issues 
  • Process warranty issues and document damages to inventory
  • Build a relationship and work with our accountant(s) 
  • Reviewing incoming Purchase Orders  
  • Handling and keeping organized invoices.
  • Other duties as requested by direct supervisor.


  • Highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Data entry and Computer Skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for long hours.
  • Great communicator  
  • Enjoy working with and for a team while taking initiative and direction.


A combination of sedentary work that involves sitting/standing, as well as physical activity such as walking/movement around the business, offsite venues, and outdoors. Lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds. The employee is often required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. 

The pay range for this position is $18-$20/hr.
