Breidablikk is perfect for those who use a dog for hunting and leisure. The ski does not have a steel edge to avoid injuries to dogs. The hunting ski has a turn of 22 m, which together with a soft tip makes the ski easy to swing. A hunting ski that you can easily handle in demanding terrain and that floats well in the snow. Breidablikk is suitable for slightly longer trips in moderate terrain.

The Waxless model combines grease-free coating with trap lock, so you can easily attach and slide in any situation. The Waxless coating provides grip and glide in smooth terrain, and the traps give you grip on the steepest climbs. Breidablikk Waxless allows you to keep all the attention on the trip, the dog and the hunt.

Asnes’s grease-free pattern and our grease-free skis are delivered with a good walking buckle and a self-developed "shell pattern" that works well in several snow conditions. Good tension, good bearing and a solution that provides usable attachment to normal winter conditions make grease-free skis relevant for many.

All of Asnes’s Waxless skis come with an integrated trap thigh, so you can use the X-Skin short trap together with the grease-free sole. This provides a good, simple and reliable combination. Perfect for those who do not want to bother with lubrication and glue.

If you want to get the most out of Åsnes' common system, we recommend using a custom trap, either X-skin 45mm Mohair for cold driving / moderate terrain, X-Skin 45mm Mix for all-round use or X-skin 58mm Nylon for wet driving / steep terrain.

Choice of ski length

Ski length is determined on the basis of body length and weight. The table here is intended as an aid and must not be followed slavishly. Skiing skills, terrain, weight, packing and individual needs / habits are factors that influence the choice of length.

General advice: Traffic in rough terrain requires shorter skis than open mountain ranges. For beginners, it will often be easier with short skis. If you only walk in groomed tracks, length does not matter in terms of how well / badly you float in the snow, then it is instead the tension that is important. If the person is lighter than average, the user should consider shorter skis, and conversely some man is heavier. If you often go with heavy packing, the skis should be a little longer.
