Tim Dailey //
Climbing Buyer
Hailing from the wooded, lobster-filled lands of Maine, Tim found his way to Colorado 17 years ago. In between stocking Neptune with the best gear and testing the newest climbing equipment, Tim explores Lumpy Ridge, the South Platte, and anywhere with granite. His favorite thing about the Neptune community is being surrounded by climbing legends. He recommends turning the batteries around in your headlamp so it doesn't turn on in your pack.

Leah Bell-Johnson // Marketing Coordinator
Leah grew up in Boulder, taking a four-year sabbatical in the Northwest before returning to the Front Range. Despite a childhood spent hiking and camping, she enjoys Colorado even more now, particularly Boulder Canyon, the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Shelf Road. Her favorite part of the Neptune community is the shared stoke for the outdoors. No matter the activity, Leah recommends always packing an extra pair of socks.

Aaron Kutzer // General Manager
Aaron joined Neptune in 2023 after leading retail teams for 20 years in the outdoor industry. He’s lived in Boulder, Colorado since 2013, coming by way of Lake Tahoe, California, and his hometown of Austin, Texas. He’s climbed in many iconic areas across the country, but Eldorado Canyon and Black Canyon are still among his favorites. His favorite part of the Neptune community is the shared passion for outdoor adventure of any kind. His pro tip after decades of climbing, skiing and backpacking – always pack a (working!) headlamp and a beanie.

Joel Nunez-Smith // Marketing Director
Originally from Austin, Texas, Joel moved to Aspen after an enlightening powder day at Aspen Highlands. His role takes him between Aspen and Boulder, guiding the Ute Mountaineer and Neptune Mountaineering in their marketing efforts. His favorite part of the Neptune community is introducing new users to our incredible outdoor spaces. Joel highly recommends always filtering or treating your water sources in the backcountry before consumption.

Trevor Bachand //
E-Commerce & Web Manager
College brought Trevor to Colorado from his home state of North Carolina and the mountains convinced him to stay. He enjoys climbing in Boulder Canyon and the Flatirons and skiing in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. His favorite thing about the Neptune community is how knowledgeable and passionate everyone is; they know their stuff and are excited to share. His outdoor adventures have taught him to always bring a backup, whether it’s a plan, gear, or extra snacks.

Chris Scheffmeyer //
Ski Shop Manager
Chris left the hills of New Jersey for the steep slopes of the Rocky Mountains. When he’s not mounting bindings, grinding edges, and managing the ski shop, he finds time to do some skiing of his own. His favorite local spot is Breckenridge and his best outdoor pro tip is to stay indoors.

Kunlong Cousin //
Store Manager
Kunlong’s adventures have taken him from the sheer slopes of Denali to the alpine wilderness of southern Colorado. Despite his impressive outdoor resume, he still enjoys local endeavors, especially the Skyline Traverse. His favorite part of working at Neptune is the inclusivity and his best outdoor pro tip is to maintain awareness of others—on and off-trail.

Elizabeth Whiteaker // Shipping & Receiving Manager
Raised in Boulder County, Elizabeth has spent years exploring up and down the Front Range. She took a detour to finish college (and explore the Shire) in New Zealand, eventually returning to Neptune and taking over all things shipping and receiving. She enjoys how experienced and curious everyone is in the Neptune community, eagerly sharing knowledge and insight. Her best outdoor pro tip is to bring an extra beacon in case you need to find your tent in a whiteout.
